I looked at many faucets for my new Kitchen, most prices were well above the price of this faucet. I also found this model to be of higher quality.
It is solid and very heavy. The sprayer is solid and not the cheesy plastic that come with most faucets. The entire unit is well made. It is lovely to look at, it is outstanding.
The plumber was very impressed, and I do recommend a plumber to install because it does not come put together and there are no instructions. I guess if you are handy you could do it, but I am not.
I believe you are getting a real bargain at this price for this quality.
Used with a farmhouse-style white vessel sink in the adaptive restoration of our 1809 church sacristy, which of course did not have running water when built. The current restoration retains building elements added for the 1909 centennial, so the style of this faucet fits well with the overall project. We ordered the faucet without the sprayer that is shown in the photo. Our plumber also installed an under-counter instant hot water heater that feeds directly into the faucet, rather than the separate counter-top unit we used to have. The small historic church sacristy where this is installed gets light usage, and there is no space for a larger water heater. The faucet itself (ordered in satin nickel) is of very heavy brass construction and should hold up well.
